Contingency Planning

My experience in Contingency Planning is predominantly derived from my responsibilities as the State Oil Pollution Control Officer for Tasmania, where I produced, implemented and exercised the 7 Oil Spill Contingency Plans for the various Marine Boards and Port Authorities.

The processes involved in the preparation of these plans are no different from those required to produce Contingency Plans for any other potential impact, whether on the environment or not.

I have undertaken Contingency Planning courses as well as hazard & risk analysis courses conducted by Emergency Management Australia (previously the Australian Counter Disaster College) at Mt Macedon.
